Welcome to our website " Kominka Dokokai "
Background
" Kominka " stands for traditional Japanese old house and "Dokokai " means club. The founders of the club are those who own Kominka and have reformed them remaining their old framework of the houses. They love old good things and are keen to transfer those good things to the next generation.
Objective
The final objective of the club is to make the place here where those who are living here feel "we are happy living here" To achieve the objective, now the club members are registered from various fields of industries such as farmers, forestries, designers, carpenters, school teachers, housewives and so on.
Activities
The activities include revival of the first industries, nursing care for the elderly, early childhood education of ECO, introduction of local currency and every activity related to the objective.
To foreigners
We always want to get in touch with international movements, even we are living very rural part of Kyoto prefecture. For this purpose, we will welcome cultural exchange with any part of the world.
